| To maintain a sense of open simplicity and airiness, the bed floats upon a platform. The base is covered in vinyl, but this time it is embossed lizard skin. Repeating the floating motif, the bedside shelves hover awaiting magazines, reading glasses or a carafe of water. The reading lamps were cobbled together from bits and pieces of drapery hardware and baskets. Equipped with dimmers, these lamps can be adjusted for bedside reading or for atmospheric glow. |
