A
street side discard was transformed into the dining table. The street urchin is disguised
beneath a new tablecloth in bold stripes of cocoa and ecru. The stripes spiral out from
the center of the table. This adds motion to an otherwise static space.
Vintage chairs in blonde wood were picked up inexpensively at a garage sale. Their
original fabric fit the color scheme to the proverbial T. A quick dust and polish, and
they were ready for their places.
The same draperies from the living room continue into the dining area. This helps unite
the two areas.
The existing chandelier has been given a new look with little money. This dash of color
helps bring attention to this light fixture. New parchment shades dress up the look,
taking it out of the breakfast nook and into the dining area. Leaves and berries have been
picked out with color further enhancing it.
